Brief background:
Little to nothing is known about Ichihara Yuuko; hell, we don't even know if that's her true name at all. She even says herself that she has many names and titles, Witch of the Dimensions, Time-Space Witch, and "that woman" just to name a few. The few things we do know about her is that she is 1) a very powerful witch able to control travel between dimensions and time, 2) she created Mokona=Modoki with Clow Reed a number of years ago, and 3) she is the owner of a small shop in Tokyo. But the shop is not just any shop; it grants wishes to its customers. As long as a person can pay the price, they can have any wish granted.

Currently, she is the employer of Watanuki Kimihiro, a boy who wanted to grant his wish of not being able to be bothered by spirits and the like. Because of the price of this wish, he now works in her shop, running small errands, cooking, cleaning, and other such tasks. She also moniters the travels of the characters from TRC, helping when they ask and guiding them when they need it, all through the connection between the Mokonas.

Personality:
Yuuko has an interesting range of personality, from teasing employer to knowledgable guidance to no-take-backs witch. She is often shown with her playful side, the side that sends Watanuki on crazy errands or embarrasses him in front of his friends. She is rather glutinous, as well, demanding food on a whim and constantly drinking alcohol. The gentler side of her gives us an impression of deep thing stirring underneath calm waters. Teaching Watanuki various lessons throughout the series with a soft smile and caring for him when he gets injured, we also see that Yuuko can be saddened, often recalling vague hints of the past. Above all, Yuuko is a confident, powerful witch, one who is determined to prevent certain disaster from happening. Manipulating and plotting for a greater good, she has spent a long time for events to come to pass and will pay her price for it if necessary.
